Have you already strayed or diverted from you new year's resolutions or goals? How disappointing loss of focus can be. Just a reminder that straying from a focused path can cost us failure, stress and sometimes our lives. As I reminisce I can think of so many occasions in which I lost focus of specific goals and resolve. I can imagine that this phenomenon is in no wise unique to my experiences. How about you? Under which circumstances loss focus rendered pain and unbelievable grief. If only you remained focused, all the success you would have reaped and basked in. But, is all hope lost? What are some of the consequences of lost focus and can focus be regained? Well, let's begin with some of the consequences of derailing from your goals.

Firstly, there is loss of time. We lose so much time to play catch up! Time, this expensive commodity depletes when we try to catch upon and with what we should have got done or failed to accomplish. For instance, I conceptualized the possibilities of another website or another feature to one I have to capitalize on my talents and skills. Yet, under the disguise of survival, I became distracted and have not yet implemented the great possibility. I am grossly disappointed and release that several months of inattention to this detail might cost me years of success. So, at this juncture, there might be an instinct to rustle up new goals or attempt to patch previous ones. Which brings me to my second point: mending goals.

We might have a tendency to apply a Band-Aid to our broken, scarred, sprained and sometimes rotten wounds. The gruesome reality is that the band-aid does NOT work in most cases. You see, the wound needs to be cleansed, disinfected and properly dressed, based on its depth and gravity. It is no different with our broken goals and resolutions; they needed to be treated on a case-by-case basis. Which resolutions and goals are you attempting to treat incorrectly? Are you satisfied with the ad hoc situation of splashing of plastering a patch here and there with no particular care of rectifying the problem and achieving real solutions? Well, I would like to remind you that averting the detour is usually the best solution to it all. Simply put, remain focused and do NOT
