CELINE DION

So, today I’ve got for you one of the sweetest personalities in showbiz and one of the most unique voices – The indescribable, Celine Dion!

As people from all walks of life prepare to celebrate love and their love on February 14th, I wonder about the power of love; such an elusive concept at times. In this fast-paced, cold world do we really know and experience what love really is? Is the 14th of February the answer to love’s celebrants and celebration?

As you ponder these questions and saturate your being with these magnificent songs, have you considered those who are fighting desperately to preserve and salvage what is left of “love”? Here is a mesmerizing video of Celine’s “Pour Que Tu M’aimes Encore”, translated for your convenience in English! Enjoy

BOB MARLEY

How can we celebrate love on February 6th without remembering Bob Marley? Every February, fans and family from all over the world spend some time reminiscing about one of the greatest legends to ever walk this earth; the Robert Nesta Marley.

What is your favourite Bob Marley’s song? Well, while you think about it, let me tell you a little about Robert Nesta Marley. On 6th of February 2017, the legend Bob Marley would have been 72 years old. A cool-going person, Bob’s songs span a wide spectrum from humour to social injustices. His songs are still enjoyed by many people worldwide, long after his death in May, 1981.

Of all the songs, nothing pelted me more than “Emancipate Yourself from Mental Slavery”. Once more, I was jolted to take stock of the social dissonance of the rancid tune being played in world today. This is certainly not the kind of mental emancipation or social harmony of which Bob sang, nor activists like Martin Luther King Jr., advocated. Thoughts of the segregation, ethnic and other political rivalry inundated my mind. For a moment, I paused to ponder what our world is becoming, where we are heading and whether the signs of the present times are those of the Messiah’s return.

I heard so many songs that I had forgotten, but another that brought me sweet melody was “Is This Love”. That definitely sealed the mellow flavour of the evening, as I mused about being attracted to someone for the first time in my adolescent years. But, wait, I took it a bit further this time, I thought about Bob’s upbringing and how content he was with what he had to the extent that he was willing to and shared with the love of his life the little he had.

Concurrently, I think about the splendid love that Celine shared with her husband. Believe me, these enthralling songs can hardly express the profoundness of the incredible power of what love is supposed to be. Enjoy!
